Journal Post # 9 (Last one!)

Hi Class,

Ok, we are on our last stretch of the term. So what does that mean? Final Exam and one more journal post. This reflection will require you to more reflective. Please be as honest.

1. What did you learn this week? (list at least 2 examples)
2. How do you know you learned it?
3. What do you think your teacher noticed about your learning?
4. What do you need help with with what you learned and for the final exam?
5. Rate this week’s progress from 1-10 (10 being awesome, 1 being none).

6. How has this journal experience been for you? (Excellent, Good, OK, Bad, don't matter - Explain)

7. How has using technology (your own computer and blogger) been compared to using the composition books from last term? (Better, Worse, Same-Explain).

note: If you weren't with me last term and didn't use composition books, how do you THINK this process of using technology is compared to if you did write out the journals by hand.

P.S. If you are having problems and can't use blogger.com you can write them on your old composition journals.

Journal Post # 2

Hello Class,

Now that you have reflected on last term's journals, I have adjusted the questions that you have to answer. You will answer all of part A and use the questions in part B to write a well-thought paragraph. You will find the questions on my first post on this blogger (scroll down).

Yesterday you all took a quiz on Ecology. Reflect how you did. Also discuss what you could have done to do better. If you did well, discuss why you did well. When you take the unit test next week, keep all of this in mind.

Welcome Back!!!

Hi Class,

Welcome back to your second term of biology. I hope everything went well last term. So lets get to buisness. For those of you that had me first term, remember your biology journals? The ones that you had to answer the same set of questions every Friday? For those of you who are new to my class, you obviously don't remember. But anyways all of you will have to continue on those journals, but we're going to do them all online. So the first thing you'll need to do is set up an online journal. If you already have one, you are welcome to use that. But I will show you how to use blogger.

After you set up your account, you need to answer these questions as your first online journal post.

1. From a scale of 1 to 10, did you find the journals helpful in your learning process? (10 being yes definately, 5 don't know, 0 not at all) -- If you are new, then you don't have to answer questions 1 and 2. --

2. What did you think of the journals we did last term? Your honest opinion, please.

3. Do you have a computer with internet access?

Remember to answer these question on your own blogg and cut/paste the link to your blogger on my comments link of this blogger. Thank you.

Mr. Canet
